Missions et responsabilitésWe are operating in APAC in a demanding regulatory environment, with 7 legal entities, hence 7 different regulatory regimes, and there is a need to get the business and the functions well-coordinated to address / manage the internal and external issues efficiently. A client centric model and organization is in place with the selection of Strategic and Core clients that are coordinated by nominated Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) that drive teams of experts and provide services. Monitoring Tools, such as Salesforce for Marketing, and Dashboard for Business activities, are used by the CRMs on regular basis.

The P&C Technical Accounting team has been reorganized in Asia Pacific over the recent years and this is the standard set-up for P&C globally. The processes in APAC have greatly improved, however there is a need, from a business point of view, to better connect our internal data and systems with the business that SCOR writes.

The job's main objectives and responsibilities will be, for the area covered, to:

  • Prepare the Portfolio performance analysis, Critical issues identification, Initiatives supporting works, etc. for Business plans, All Underwriters Meetings and legal entity’s quarterly meetings.
  • Support the renewal monitoring during the month preceding the renewals dates and the construction of renewals reports;
  • Monitor the largest contracts (EPI changes, L/R changes, SOA and claims) as well as the cat consumptions for contracts with insufficient data in cat prone areas.
  • Run the Client Dashboard on a regular basis to monitor any portfolio movement regarding our APAC Strategic Clients and also provide a first analysis of results to CRMs.
  • Help implementing tools and putting in place structured processes for business & budget monitoring as well as train new joiners on tools and procedures.
  • Support the designated legal entity reporting to Regulators - including surveys and presentations but also Planning, and Budgeting.
  • Specific assignments such as work on Market presentations & Event organization (e.g. for Marketing & Client events).

Expérience requise et FormationThe jobholder could be either:
  • An actuary with a first job experience and in the process of achieving his papers and qualification.
  • or a graduate engineer with a first job experience.

Successful job holder:
  • Would have the opportunity to evolve after 3 to 5 years towards underwriting responsibilities or specialized technical functions.
  • Shall demonstrate the following Personal Competences:
    • Ability to work on several concomitant projects and tasks, hence the necessity to prioritize;
    • Good organizational, analytic, and communication skills in English;
    • Pro-activity and “I can do” attitude;
    • Rigorous, Analytical, Pay attention to details and like accuracy;
    • Proficiency in IT tools so that understanding and use of SCOR GPC’s systems is fast and easy as well as in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
    • Curiosity and interest to work on topics outside of her/his core area of competencies;
